I was always kind of proud of these drawings. I was experiencing this weird burst of creativity and this interview with Greg Willmott was basically responsible for re-igniting my interest in zines altogether. This drawing was made in response to Greg's telling me that he had a "big ol' dirty closet full of Lockin Out stuff," when I asked him about getting some stuff from the back catalog. It took me forever to do, and I'm not necessarily a master at the "
stippling" technique, but I was happy with the way it came out. Plus it was really fun to take some of my favorite LOC releases and re-draw their covers. Also, note the Breakdown poster in the closet.
Also, these were scanned directly from
Drug Dogs #1 so that's why they're so grainy. The original drawing is somewhere at my parents' house. If you want one of my zines, there are two issues available, (#3 is almost done) and you can get more information at the Drug Dogs
blog, or by Emailing me at drugdogszine@gmail.com.
Also, I'm going to be putting this interview up on the Drug Dogs blog soon enough. Just because I think it needs to be out there.
